76 Process
The 76 series is one of the results of the studio's continued exploration of the relationship between copper and glass, exploring the interaction of light and texture to create captivating, atmospheric volumes.
Each pendant is created by blowing molten glass into a vessel lined with copper mesh and glass frit, forming intricate, moiré-like patterns within the glass. The resulting pieces have a soft, diffused glow, with the copper mesh adding subtle textural contrasts. As the materials oxidise and develop, the pendants take on an organic quality, revealing exposed edges and intricate patterns over time. Visible loops of copper wire connect the pendant to the LED, further reinforcing the link between form and function in this series.
