84 Process
For the 84 series, a bubble of white glass, enveloped in fine copper mesh, is submerged in a clear, liquid glass matrix. Air is gently blown into the matrix, spreading the white glass through the copper mesh to form soft, pillowy shapes that harden within the clear glass exterior. A light source within reveals a subtle crosshatched pattern and delicate, copper-hued pillows, creating a captivating interplay of texture and light.
This design experiments with material properties and techniques, blending metal and glass to create visually striking forms that explore transparency and light diffusion.
